Wings and Woodlands: A Tribute to Native Birds and Forests 🎨🕊️

The Kaua‘i Forest Bird Recovery Project and Birds Not Mosquitoes are partnering again with the Kaua‘i Endangered Seabird Recovery Project to celebrate Hawai’i’s native manu through art!

We invite artists of all ages and experience levels to submit 2D & 3D artwork inspired by Kaua‘i’s native birds and their habitats, including: Paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs, and featherwork.

(Drop off instructions:  It’s a bit tricky to find- you’ll have to continue down our small street past the old water department building and the ag department, to a parking lot at the end of the street. Park there and call our office phone number at 808-855-5731, and someone can come out and meet you to show you where our office is.)

🎨 Display & Sales Options –  Artists may choose to:

  • Display only (must pick up artwork post-exhibit)
  • Donate a portion of sales (25%, 50%, or 75%)
  • Donate your artwork

📌 All wall art must have hanging wire securely attached.

Selection & Display Criteria:

Our goal is to celebrate our native birds and display as many artists as possible. If space runs out, priority will be given to:

  • Artwork received by Oct 30, 2026
  • Art featuring Kaua‘i’s native birds
  • Pieces showcasing Hawaiian native birds
  • Ensuring each artist has at least one piece displayed
  • Higher percentage of sales donated

Note: We have not run out of space in previous exhibits.
