A new book on bird conservation, entitled “A Wing and a Prayer: The Race to Save our Vanishing Birds,’’ describes the multi-agency efforts to save Hawaiʻi’s remaining forest birds.

A recent blog post, on the “Flying Lessons” website, shares stories from this new book and the unique approach to eradicate the mosquitos that are spreading disease to bird populations around the state.

The book, published by Simon & Schuster, is  available at bookstores, from Amazon here, from Barnes and Noble here, and from independent booksellers here. For a look at Simon & Schuster’s summary of the book, click here. You can learn more about the book on the Flying Lessons website.
