KFBRP’s Field Supervisor, Justin Hite, is featured in the September/October issue of Birdwatching Magazine. The article, written by Jesse Greenspan, highlights individuals who go above and beyond to save species. Justin is recognized for spending several seasons in the Alakaʻi, “scampering up precariously balanced 40-foot extension ladders that were hauled in by helicopter, ” as part of an effort to collect ʻakikiki eggs from their nests.
